Substituted Gadolinium Gallium Garnet (SGGG, Gd3Ga5O12) is used as substrates for liquid epitaxy.GGG substrtae is dedicated substrates for magneto-optical film.In the optical communication devices,require a lot of using 1.3um and 1.5um optical isolator,it's core compoment is the YIG and BIG film been placed in magnetic field.
