Nd:YAG Laser Crystal — Neodymium-Doped Yttrium Aluminum Garnet serves as the core gain medium for cutting welding marking and medical laser machines.
Nd YAG laser crystal rod is the most widely used laser crystal in industrial solid state lasers. This neodymium doped YAG laser crystal operates at 1064 nm and is pumped by 808 nm diode bars. The Nd YAG laser crystal offers high gain low threshold and excellent thermal conductivity of 11 W per m K making it ideal for high power CW Q switched and mode locked laser systems. Standard doping is 1.0 at percent Nd with diameter from 3 to 40 mm. The laser crystal is grown by Czochralski method and double side polished with AR and HR coatings. This Nd YAG laser crystal serves as the core gain medium for cutting welding marking and medical laser machines.
Crystro grows Nd:YAG boules by Czochralski under iridium crucible, and performs in-house machining, double-side polishing and AR/HR coating. Typical emission lines include 1064 nm (strongest), 1319 nm and 946 nm; frequency-doubling yields 532 nm green and frequency-tripling yields 355 nm UV.
Key Advantages
High gain & low threshold:Stimulated emission cross-section ~8.8×10⁻¹⁹ cm² at 1064 nm, allowing compact low-pump designs.
Fabrication Tolerances
| Diameter range | Φ 3 – 40 mm | Length range | 5 – 150 mm (custom longer) |
| Diameter tolerance | +0.00 / −0.05 mm | Length tolerance | ±0.1 mm |
| Chamfer | < 0.1 mm @ 45° | Flatness | < λ/10 @ 633 nm |
